生產預聚物的主要原材料是二異氰酸酷(TDI, MDI,HDI, IPDI等)和聚醚多元醇。

用MDI制備的預聚物貯存穩定性好，用TDI制備的預聚物彈性較好，用HDI或IPDI制備的預聚物韌性強.但也存在固化速率慢的缺點。單一種預聚物有時難以滿足硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠的綜合性能要求，可以選用幾種不同的預聚物配合.以達到不同的性能要求。
